"Fair and softly goes far in a day"

Meaning:-

If you proceed with care and with mindfulness, at a gentle and steady pace you will achieve far more then if you rush. I like this one because it is useful for reminding oneself that a tactful approach when dealing with people is well advised. Another variant is slow and steady wins the race, but I prefer the above. It is slightly more poetic.
